Toronto Blue Jays superstar and new $500 million man Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a priceless three-word reaction after hitting his first home run of 2025.
In the bottom of the sixth inning of the rubber match against the Atlanta Braves, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. crushed a 412-foot homer into the left field seats off ace Spencer Strider, giving the home team a 2-0 lead.
That was one of two RBI for Vladdy Jr., who led the Jays to a 3-1 victory to take the series against Atlanta. The win improved Toronto to 11-8 on the season, keeping them in second place in the AL East, pending the outcome of the New York Yankees-Kansas City Royals evening game.
After crushing the first of what should be 30-plus homers for Vladdy in 2025, the 26-year-old could be heard screaming “About f**king time!” in the Blue Jays dugout:

Last week, the Blue Jays signed Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to a 14-year contract extension worth $500 million, the third-richest deal in MLB history. Only Juan Soto’s 15-year, $765 million pact (signed with the New York Mets) and Shohei Ohtani’s 10-year, $700 million deal (Los Angeles Dodgers) are richer.
The son of Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero, Vladdy Jr. earned his way to half a billion dollars after a monster 2024 season that saw him his .323 with 30 homers, 103 RBI, 72 walks, a .940 OPS and a 6.2 wins-above-replacement.

The Vibes Are Good Vladimir Guerrero Jr. & Blue Jays

There’s still plenty of baseball to be played, but the Jays have to be pleased with an 11-8 start considering that Vladdy Jr., Bo Bichette and prized free agent signing Anthony Santander have combined for only three homers (Santander has the other two).
With $500 million guaranteed, Guerrero can focus entirely on bringing a World Series title to Toronto. And with the Blue Jays’ schedule easing up in May, the opportunity is there to build a comfortable cushion for a playoff spot.
