Aaron Judge is having a great season with the New York Yankees, but he’s still criticized by many. Sal Licata is known for taking a jibe at the team and often shows his support for the New York Mets. He’s expressed frustration when they do not perform and has been supportive accordingly.
Recently, Licata had a discussion with Brandon Tierney in which they discussed Juan Soto and both New York teams. Licata and Tierney started arguing about both teams and who’s been good with and without Soto. While their argument continued, Tierney said that the Yankees have not brought down their standards, and they went to the World Series last year.
On the other hand, Licata was more critical. He went on an epic rant to defend the Mets and compared Yankees captain Aaron Judge to Juan Soto.
“Soto is symbolic, the transformation of the balance of what’s happening. The Yankees have been losers since 2009. Give me the Babe Ruth numbers. Nobody gives a crap. Aaron Judge has zero rings, and Juan Soto has a ring. I’m not afraid of the Yankees,” Licata said.

The radio host went on to mock the Yankees’ captain with a weird choking gesture. Yankees fans will certainly be unhappy with Sal Licata’s actions.
