San Francisco Giants pitcher Logan Webb had his locker-room interview interrupted by a loud fart from one of his teammates after a game on Friday and was forced to cover his nose briefly.
Farts do travel quickly, especially in colder temperatures.
Anyhoo, Webb’s most recent start was solid as he struck out 12 and allowed just one run and four hits against the Los Angeles Angels.
He didn’t allow a walk, which made him one of just four Giants pitchers to boast multiple starts with 10 or more strikeouts and no walks since 1983.
A reporter was asking Webb about the achievement after the game when one of his teammates ripped a fart in the backgound.
The 28-year-old struggled to keep his composure.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, guys,” he said, adding, “farts are always funny, not going to lie.”

Logan Webb Happy To Be In Elite Company

Logan Webb managed to regain some poise and answer the actual question, expressing pride at being able to join San Francisco greats, Madison Bumgarner, Tim Lincecum, and Juan Marichal.
“I look up to those guys. I grew up in the area, and I grew up watching those guys. Any time you’re in a list with those guys, I think you’re doing all right,” he said.
The Giants still lost 0-2, despite Webb’s excellent showing. He’s unlikely to find that part funny.
