Gonsolin and Soto had an epic battle that continued at the top of the fifth inning for a while. Soto took a couple of balls and a hit that was fouled. Gonsolin was trying his best to get Juan Soto to swing and miss. However, the Mets star stayed his course and took his second walk of the game. After their battle, Soto gave Tony Gonsolin a nod, and both players were caught smiling.
