The New York Yankees had a huge lead in the AL East last month. However, after a miserable losing streak, they dropped to second place and are now tied with the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yanks have yet to win their first 50 games, and at this rate, the World Series seems like a tough challenge.
Things took a bad turn last month when they lost 14 of the previous 20 games. To make things worse, they got swept against their division rival, the Toronto Blue Jays. The Yankees lost all four games for the first time in franchise history against the Blue Jays.

Fans are extremely frustrated with their poor performance, and Aaron Judge seems to be the only consistent player. The Yankees have a strong starting rotation, but their bullpen and offense have been disasters of late.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. is back on the team’s lineup but still has several issues to fix. The Yanks are now one game behind the .500 mark with a 48-39 record.

“It sucks when you get your ass kicked in a division-rival series on the road. But we’re ready-made for this and we will get through this. We obviously know we need to play better. Need to do better. … We will stick together through this and embrace the adversity of it. This will make us stronger as we navigate through the season. I know nobody likes hearing that. But that’s what this is,” Aaron Boone said via the New York Post.
Boone further stated that the Yankees’ captain will play a crucial role in leading the team. Judge has been spectacular at the plate with his stunning performance. Sluggers like Anthony Volpe have been on a miserable run, and fans want him to be traded soon.
