The Dodgers vs. Padres series finale turned into one of the most intense games. Dodger Stadium erupted into a benches-clearing incident and multiple ejections. The Dodgers had the upper hand against the Padres throughout this series, but the opponent was 5-0 in the top of the ninth when things got out of hand.
Dodgers rookie Jack Little hit Fernando Tatis Jr. on the hand with a 93-MPH fastball. It was the third time a Dodgers pitcher had plunked Tatis in their last two series. Padres manager Mike Shildt immediately rushed out to check on Tatis. After which, he turned his anger toward Dodgers manager Dave Roberts by shouting across the field.
Roberts charged out of the dugout to confront Shildt, and the two managers bumped each other as both benches and bullpens emptied during the Dodgers vs. Padres game. It was a chaotic scene behind home plate as heated words and some shoving were witnessed. Both Roberts and Shildt were ejected for their actions.

To make things worse, the Padres’ closer continued to take revenge as he hit Shohei Ohtani with a pitch. Suarez was ejected immediately, and Ohtani played the peacemaker and urged the dugout not to come out. The Padres held on for a 5-3 win and avoided a sweep.
