Tyler Glasnow has been out of the Dodgers’ starting rotation since April 27. The pitcher has been dealing with right shoulder inflammation, and the Dodgers placed him on a 60-day IL. However, things didn’t go well as his recovery took longer than expected.
Although Glasnow described his shoulder as fine, he still suffered from general body soreness and back tightness. The Dodgers never wanted to risk it by pushing him, but fans are eagerly awaiting his return. It’s been a long time since Glasnow pitched, and the Dodgers really need him.

Things Will Get Better For The Dodgers As Tyler Glasnow Returns

The Dodgers have only five pitchers on their depth chart. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Clayton Kershaw, Dustin May, and Ben Casparius have been on the rotation. Shohei Ohtani has joined the squad, but his performances have been limited.
The Dodgers will not risk it with Ohtani since he’s one of their best hitters. With Glasnow’s return, things will only get better for the team. The Boys in Blue are expected to be in full form while they hit the playoffs. Roki Sasaki is placed on the IL, and Blake Snell is prepping for a return.
For now, Yamamoto has been the only consistent and dominant pitcher in the league. Tyler Glasnow will return at the right time and help ease the pressure on the starting rotation. The Dodgers need another pitcher. Dave Roberts and his team are eyeing their second World Series run, and they improved their week 13 MLB power ranking.
