After a dramatic opener, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres gear up for Game 2 of their three-game series at Petco Park on Tuesday night. Last night’s series opener was a classic NL West battle. The Dodgers edged out an 8-7 win in 10 innings. LA built a 5-3 lead early, but San Diego answered back, and the lead changed hands multiple times.
In the extra innings, Andy Pages hit a double that the left fielder misjudged, bringing in the go-ahead run. Then, Tommy Edman hit a single that bounced off second base, scoring Pages and adding an extra run.

What We Know So Far About The Dodgers vs. Padres Game 2?

Dylan Cease will take the mound for the hosts, while the Dodgers are expected to rely on their bullpen with limited options available. Cease has been a high-strikeout arm for the Padres this season, but inconsistency has plagued him. He will need to command his fastball early to keep LA’s lefty-heavy lineup quiet.
Dodgers’ Will Smith has been in sensational form this season. The catcher hit his 6th home run of this season on Monday and once again will be the player to watch out for.

Though he went hitless in the opener, Padres’ Fernando Tatis Jr. is always a threat with his speed and power and will be the player to watch out for in Game 2.
