The New York Yankees are facing a tough challenge lately.
Recently, Luke Weaver suffered a significant hamstring injury that could keep him out for four to six weeks.
Weaver had been shining as the closer for the Yankees during the last two months of the 2024 season. Many fans were excited to see him back in action since he returned to the team on April 27, stepping in for Devin Williams.
However, one of the Yankees’ managers, Aaron Boone’s recent decisions have the social media fans upset. Boone recently confirmed that Williams would do most of the closing in Luke Weaver’s absence.

Unfortunately, Weaver’s injury occurred during warmups right before the Yankees’ victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He’s now expected to go on the injured list.
This opens the door once again for Williams to reclaim the closer position. However, it hasn’t been an easy start for Williams in his first season with the Yankees. He’s struggled to find his groove on the mound.

Though his recent decision for Williams is getting him a lot of criticism on the internet.
