Cody Bellinger is having an excellent start with the New York Yankees. The slugger hit one home run, nine RBIs, and 10 hits. Besides his offensive performance, Bellinger has been a great addition to the outfield.
Belli has saved runs for the Yankees more than once this season, but his latest play might be the best yet. The Yanks swept the Kansas City Royals after Bellinger made a jaw-dropping catch. Yankees fans were hyped to see his incredible play, and they started mocking Juan Soto’s performance in the outfield.

Cody Bellinger Reflects On His Game-Ending Diving Catch

In a postgame interview, Bellinger shed light on his game-ending diving catch. The Yankees star said he wanted to make the first jump and was glad to make a stunning catch. He also mentioned that he’s ready to play any outfield position.
“Wherever I’m playing, left, center, right, or whatever, I’m just getting the work in pregame. Finding an arm slot whatever it is, just trying to get the reads so it’s just preparing pregame,” Bellinger said via Yes Network.
“I was glad I came down with it. I had a little awkward second step there and I was kind of, my head was bobbling a little too much, but I had a good beat on it and I saw the way the ball was going so I was glad I was able to catch it and get the win,” Cody Bellinger continued.
After their last victory, the Yankees are back on top of the AL East. The team is now holding an 11-7 record. Aaron Judge is having a great run after hitting his seventh home run for the team. Judge recently backed Pete Alonso despite Juan Soto’s comments on the Mets’ lineup protection.
