Yoshinobu Yamamoto is currently the hottest pitcher in the league, and his stellar performance has carried the Dodgers forward in crucial games. Yamamoto has several quality starts and boasts a strong 1.97 ERA this season.
The Dodgers star is coming off a strong outing against the Cleveland Guardians, where he secured a win. However, it was his incredible hustle that shocked MLB fans. During the bottom of the third inning, Angels slugger Will Wilson made a bunt, and Yamamoto never hesitated to run to first base all by himself.
MLB fans were shocked to see his run, as some called out Gerrit Cole for his lack of hustle during the World Series.

Dave Robers Reveals Why He Removed Yoshinobu Yamamoto From The Game

Despite his strong outing, Dave Roberts pulled Yamamoto out of the game against the Guardians. Yamamoto pitched six innings, struck out seven, and walked two after surrendering only two earned runs. Yamamoto was the player of the game, but Roberts wanted to play it safe.
“We pushed him a lot in his last outing. To not push him to the fullest tonight made sense as he gears up for Sunday,” Dave Roberts said.

Roberts was pleased with Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s performance. Yamamoto is currently the best pitcher on the Dodgers squad in the absence of Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell. The Dodgers are still on the lookout for players ahead of the MLB trade deadline.
