With confidence oozing, the UFC welterweight champion wants to take up some new challenges. Calling out Khamzat Chimaev, Muhammad explained why the bout would make perfect sense.
In a recent statement, the 36-year-old fighter expressed his interest in fighting Khamzat Chimaev. Speaking with ‘Submission Radio,’ Muhammad stated that Chimaev would be one of the toughest fights if the fight materializes. The welterweight champion also stated that owing to Chimaev’s superior fighting style, he would easily beat Dricus Du Plessis.
“I’ve called out Khamzat when he was at 170. That’s one of those fights I was always looking for, I’m always looking for the toughest challenge,” said Muhammad.

Muhammad further detailed how he would strategize himself against Chimaev. According to the welterweight champ, Khamzat goes all in the initial rounds. Thus, the only aim is to survive the initial attack and drain him out as the rounds progress. Meanwhile, as these statements seem quite interesting coming from Muhammad, he has made yet another surprising claim previously.

He has now promised to keep it standing against Jack Della Maddalena.
