Things took a turn during the BKFC Texas staredowns as Mariya Agapova decided to take things to another level.
While fighters occasionally get physical during their final opportunity to mug their opponent, it’s not usually in the way Mariya did it Friday when she kissed Jessica Eye on the mouth.
The former UFC fighters shared a kiss during BKFC 76 pre-fight faceoffs, but Eye was not a consenting party in the lip-locking.
She appeared caught off guard by the action and vented some frustration toward Agapova moments later.
The former UFC flyweight title challenger pushed her away and said: “That’s so weird. So f—ing weird.”

Footage of the bizarre incident spread like wildfire on social media as Mariya Agapova got blasted for her actions.

The maneuver added an additional layer of heat to Saturday’s matchup, which took place on the main card at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
Eye, a 16-time UFC veteran, retired at UFC 290 after a decision loss to top contender Maycee Barber in 2022.
She made a good decision to come back.
Jessica Eye Gets The Last Laugh Against Mariya Agapova
Former UFC title challenger Jessica Eye made her triumphant return to combat sports at BKFC Texas.
It, unfortunately, started out with an unexpected kiss from her opponent, but she would get her revenge.
Signed to the BKFC earlier this year, the 38-year-old Eye entered her promotional debut at BKFC Texas across from former UFC fighter Mariya Agapova, who kissed her lips at the weigh-ins on Friday.
In her first fight in three years, Eye worked her across five rounds of action, battering the body of Agapova in the clinch.
In the fifth and final round, Eye dropped Agapova with a punch late into the fight.
When it was over, Eye had clearly done enough to earn the victory, with the judges scoring the contest 49-45, 50-44, and 49-45 in her favor. Thus, she moves to 1-0 in the BKFC ring.
