Jean Silva Finds Holes In Ilia Topuria’s Fighting Style
On his YouTube channel, Silva explains that Topuria often overcommits when throwing heavy hooks, turning so much that he shows his back. This happened a lot in his fight with Bryce Mitchell. For Oliveira, who is very good at taking backs, this could be a big chance. Silva also says Topuria’s right straight punch is easy to see coming because of his body moves and feints, making it easy for Oliveira to predict and counter.
Silva highlights another major weakness in Topuria’s defense: whenever he moves his head to dodge, he tends to lower the hand on that side, leaving himself open.
