Conor McGregor has come to the support of Alex Pereira. After losing the light heavyweight title, the Brazilian fighter has been the subject of trolling and mockery for many. Owing to his somewhat lackluster showing, Poatan could not bring out the menacing self that he is known for. One of the biggest criticisms he faced was from his ex-girlfriend, Christine Merle. Merle took to her social media and took some serious digs at Pereira. And this is what Conor McGregor is not okay with.
Taking to his X account, ‘The Notorious’ showed his support for Pereira. He also called out Merle for trying to demean an iconic champion like Pereira.

Well, soon after the fight, Merle stated that Pereira lost on the occasion of International Women’s Day due to his karma. While they were in a relationship for a short period, Merle and the UFC star parted ways due to a number of controversies.
Pereira accused Merle of being married while in a relationship with him. He also claimed that his ex-girlfriend had previously attacked him physically. Meanwhile, replying to Merle, Poatan also had a hilarious comment to make.

Despite having gone their separate ways, the feud between Merle and Pereira does not seem to be over. And the former UFC champion is not at all like Merle getting too nosy. After the mocking from his ex-girlfriend, it did not have much effect on Poatan. But he made sure to drop a hilarious reply.
“I think she should stop mentioning my name cause her husband might get jealous, chama” Pereira said.

Thus, it is evident that Merle’s mocking has made things quite heated up. It now remains to be seen what happens next.
