Cameras caught a stunning incident involving UFC star Conor McGregor at an Ibiza Nightclub on Tuesday morning.
The 36-year-old McGregor is no stranger to controversies and legal issues outside the octagon. This time, the former UFC Featherweight Champion and Lightweight Champion was involved in a physical altercation during what was supposed to be a fun night out with his friends.
In footage obtained exclusively by The Sun, Conor McGregor can be seen punching an unidentified man twice at the Pacha nightclub in Ibiza, a Spanish island located in the Mediterranean Sea.
McGregor, holding a drink in one hand, is seen talking to the unknown patron after a very brief interaction. McGregor suddenly throws two punches at the man, prompting the UFC star’s friends to step in and intervene:

Witnesses at the nightclub told The Sun that Conor McGregor was allowed to stay, while the man he punched was thrown out. One patron told the outlet, “Clearly something’s been said to annoy him and he’s reacted very badly.”
Here’s how another witness described the alteration to The Sun:

Someone came up to them and when Conor hit him, about five people fell to the floor as the guy stumbled back. It was a bit like bowling pins, but the guy was really shaken by the hits. About a minute later, the bouncers came and got him on the back and took him out of the club, because he had annoyed Conor.
It was right before close anyway. There was no messing around, they just removed him. Conor left through the garden a bit later, he didn’t look very happy that they got into a fight.”
We’ll see if local authorities launch an investigation, but the fact that bouncers threw the patron out and allowed McGregor to stay strongly suggests that the other man instigated the confrontation. Thus, a police investigation seems unlikely.
Conor McGregor Has Been Involved In Several Assault Incidents

McGregor has been involved in several assault incidents dating back to 2019. In August of that year, footage was released of McGregor punching an elderly man in the head over a whiskey dispute in Dublin, Ireland. McGregor entered a guilty plea for assault and paid €1,000 in fines.
In Oct. 2021, DJ Francesco Facchinetti accused McGregor of punching him and breaking his nose at a Rome nightclub. And during Game 4 of the 2023 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets, McGregor faced criticism for viciously punching “Burnie” (Miami’s mascot) during a skit. The punch was so hard that Burnie got seriously injured and required treatment in the hospital.
