It had been a while since Conor McGregor won his last MMA bout (November 2016 vs. Eddie Alvarez), so you could understand why bettors may have preferred to put their money on the underdog, Donald Cerrone (+250), during UFC 246 last night.
In the end, it was McGregor emerging victorious only 40 seconds into the fight, via TKO.
That was bad news for Cerrone bettors, but perhaps the biggest loss of the evening belongs to Dan Bilzerian, who dropped an absurd amount of cash on the Cowboy.
Now, we should point out that when we say “an absurd amount of cash,” we mean for the average person. It’s probably not that much for Dan, although some are estimating it to be around $1-million, which isn’t exactly chump change.
After losing a million bucks (we think), the good news is Bilzerian was able to laugh it off. That’s the attitude!!!
