Dricus Du Plessis is all set for battle once again. The South African fighter has had quite a merry run so far in the UFC. Winning the UFC middleweight championship from Sean Strickland, Du Plessis has now defended his title twice. Having gotten the better of Israel Adesanya and Strickland, Du Plessis is now looking for fresh challenges. And with Khamzat Chimaev waiting on the wings, Du Plessis is now war-ready.
In a recent interaction on ‘The Sias Du Plessis Show,’ the South African provided some crucial updates. Du Plessis stated that the UFC offered him a couple of dates, and he has agreed to both of them. Now, it is upon the UFC to decide which one to finalize. Du Plessis also stated that the expected timeline for his big fight against Chimaev will be no more than four months.
“We have a date, but we have the potential of two dates. I already agreed to both. It’s this year, 100%. The announcement will be made soon. I’m just waiting for the contract, but that’s the fight that’s happening. It’s gonna be happening in a maximum of 4 months,” said Du Plessis.

“No injuries man, that’s bullsh*t… we’re fighting Khamzat- we’re actually waiting for the contract. It’s gonna be soon. Definitely not international fight week, they got something else planned for that,” said Visser.
