In a recent appearance on ‘Adversity Kings,’ Masvidal stated that the UFC might not want Gaethje to fight ‘El Matador.’ This is because Topuria can potentially obliterate Gaethje in a boxing fight! According to Masvidal, the former featherweight champion might ‘flatline’ Gaethje.
Masvidal stated, “I think he would flatline Gaethje. He’ll put Gaethje in a coma. They don’t wanna see him end their poster boy Gaethje like that.”
