Fans disliked the outcome of the UFC Vegas 105 main event, where Lerone Murphy won a unanimous decision over Josh Emmett. Despite his victory, the crowd at the UFC Apex booed him, calling his performance dull and overly defensive. Still, despite the backlash, ‘The Miracle’ managed to take home a decent paycheck from the fight night.
Murphy did land a few solid kicks and punches during the fight, with one clean shot to Emmett’s chin that visibly wobbled the 40-year-old. According to SportySalaries, Murphy’s purse for the fight was up to $325K, and with the win, his earnings could climb to $690K.
On the other hand, under his current contract with the promotion, Emmett’s payout for the main event is expected to reach $400K. Both fighters walked away with a decent paycheck. Despite the backlash, ‘The Miracle’ remains focused on a title shot and has called out former title challenger Brian Ortega as his next opponent.
