While being interviewed by Joe Rogan, Topuria called out Paddy Pimblett. Taking some scathing verbal shots at Pimblett, ‘El Matador’ upped the ante. Soon, the heat got turned up further as Pimblett walked into the octagon. As the two fighters had an intense face-off, things ended with Topuria pushing Pimblett. But as the tensions subsided, Topuria had a surprising take on ‘The Baddy.’
Ever since their face-off, the UFC realm has been reeling with anticipation. Rumors circulated about a potential bout between the two. Sitting down with TMZ Sports, Topuria stated that Pimblett would be the ‘easiest’ of his career. He further stated that he could choose the way he wanted to end the fight with Pimblett.
“I could choose the way I finish him…Maybe it’s gonna be cool to submit him with a triangle choke… put my b**ls on his forehead,” said Topuria.

Now then, such a message is surely expected to invoke a reaction from Pimblett. Unfortunately, despite all the heated buildup, Dana White does not seem too interested to make the fight official.

White is the UFC’s final boss. After UFC 317 ended, White was asked about the Paddy Pimblett-Ilia Topuria incident. White clarified that he had no knowledge of why Pimblett was allowed inside the octagon. He was utterly surprised and mentioned that it was not supposed to happen. White also mentioned that he wasn’t thinking about Paddy Pimblett getting a title shot at the moment.
