As Topuria began posing for the media, the official quickly stopped him from stepping off the scale. Moments later, they confirmed he had actually made the required 155 lbs.
His opponent, Oliveira, successfully weighed in at 154.5 lbs. With both fighters making weight, the fight is officially on. They will now turn their focus to rehydrating after the intense weight cut. Meanwhile, Arman Tsarukyan, the backup fighter for the UFC 317 main event, also made championship weight without issue.
