Ilia Topuria has sent ripples throughout the UFC realm. Knocking out Charles Oliveira in the first round, Topuria earned praise from all over the world. Now, he has knocked out three iconic fighters in the UFC. And going by his performance, ‘El Matador’ is looking invincible at the moment. Coming to the post-fight presser, Topuria was asked whether he feels indestructible. His reply was quite surprising.
Topuria stated that championships are won in training camps. He pointed out that while weighing in, the Spaniard already feels like a winner. Although he admitted that things might go wrong inside the octagon, there must not be a feeling that he could have done more and missed out.
“When I give the weight, it’s like, I’m already a winner. Then, within the octagon, anything can happen, but I’ll never be left with the doubt that I could have done more. That doesn’t live inside me, I couldn’t live with that. And since that feeling is not inside me, l already feel like a winner,” said Topuria.

Topuria’s ability inside the octagon undoubtedly reflected the hard work he put in day in and day out. And Topuria’s dominance was such that even Conor McGregor gave him his flowers.
