Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira have a rich history of rivalry. Right from the days of GLORY Kickboxing, the duo has been at loggerheads. And that rivalry only intensified when things spilled into the realm of UFC. Adesanya and Pereira met twice at the UFC. While Pereira won it for the first time in UFC 281, Adesanya soon had his revenge by knocking out ‘Poatan’ in UFC 287.
Meanwhile, all throughout their rivalry, Adesanya has been taking shots at Pereira. One of his infamous moments include addressing Pereira as “that guy in a bar.” Now, after so many years, looking back at their rivalry, Adesanya does not have any regrets.
‘The Last Stylebender’ stated, “I don’t regret it because I was right… I’m glad I did because it motivated him. Look what we’ve created. I created a monster.”

Surely, Adesanya has a point here. Following his loss to Adesanya, Pereira has been on a winning spree. Not only did he win the light heavyweight title, but he also proceeded to defend it three times last year. And he is so confident right now, that the Brazilian claims that he can drop 10kgs in just 4 hours!
Alex Pereira Claims Of Dropping Insane Amount Of Weight In A Short Duration
Alex Pereira has been known to carry around a significant amount of weight. However, miraculously, he seems to weigh in at the exact scales whenever he is up for a fight. Unravelling the mystery, Poatan stated that he has a rigorous method of cutting down weight. In fact, in a matter of four hours, he can get rid of as much as 10 kgs.
“It takes me about 4 hours to lose 10 kilos (22 lbs). They have a method that they can use which helps me lose very quickly. It takes less than a week for me to lose all that weight,” said Pereira.
