Magomed Ankalaev is on cloud nine at the moment. Having beaten a dominant champion like Alex Pereira, Anakalev has been oozing confidence ever since. But he is not content with just winning the title. Ankalaev is also looking to launch a scathing attack on all the previous opponents that have faced ‘Poatan.’ One such name among them is Jiri Prochazka. The Czech Samurai has lost twice to Alex Pereira now. And Ankalaev thus proceeded to call him a ‘fraud.’ Well, quite expectedly, the statement did not sit well with Prochazka.
In a recent interaction with Ariel Helwani, Prochazka was asked what he thought about Anakalaev’s statement. Angered at the same, Prochazka lashed out at Ankalaev saying that if someone was a fraud it was him. The former champion also mentioned that despite being the champion, Ankalaev is receiving so much hate.
“Don’t speak about me anymore… you don’t know which kind of life I’m living. Face me in the cage then you will understand,” Prochazka further warned Ankalaev.
Surely, these were some stern words thrown towards the newly crowned champion. Meanwhile, Magomed Ankalaev also went off on Alex Pereira.

“(Alex) was saying he wasn’t sure why the victory was given to me… Listen. I’m happy for a rematch, but maybe in the rematch, he can fight for real, not just run away the entire time,” Ankalaev said in the post-game press conference.

Thus, it is evident that the heat is rising in the light heavyweight division at the moment. How soon we will see a rematch, if any, is the big question at the moment.
