Jon Jones will turn 38 in a few months, and as time passes, fans are losing hope of seeing the highly anticipated Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall super fight. Many have accused Jones of “ducking” Aspinall, but the heavyweight champion has shut down these accusations with a strong response to his critics.
At one point, the English fighter even showed up with a duck toy in the crowd during a UFC pay-per-view event. As talk of a potential Jones vs. Aspinall fight drags on, fan frustration continues to rise. Many have taken to trolling Jon Jones, accusing him of “ducking” Aspinall. In response, Jones addressed the criticism during an Instagram Live, saying,
“I’ve got people in the chat calling me a ‘duck. Meanwhile, I’m living my absolute best life. I don’t know if it’s considered ducking when you’re living good. I don’t think it works like that.”

Jones won the heavyweight title in 2023 and defended it once against Stipe Miocic. Aspinall, who recently avenged his only UFC loss by beating Curtis Blaydes, has made it clear he’s ready for the fight but is prepared to move on if it doesn’t happen.

Jones also spoke on societal issues, saying many of America’s problems stem from broken families and absent father figures. While his outside-the-cage interests gave fans a new perspective on ‘Bones,’ attention is now shifting back to the Octagon, with fans eager to know details about his next fight.
