Muhammad Mokaev had a sad turn of events in the UFC. After his win against Manel Kape in UFC 304, he was forced to quit UFC via an announcement from Dana White. Shocked at how things went down, Mokaev requested the UFC head honcho to reconsider his decision. Unfortunately, White was pretty much firm in making sure Mokaev did not come back to the promotion. However, currently fighting in the Brave Combat Federation, Mokaev has received some significant support from Tom Aspinall.
In a recent interview with Carl Froch, the UFC heavyweight interim champion stated that he felt the UFC was too ‘harsh’ on Mokaev. Aspinall also mentioned that it was very rare in the UFC to cut off an athlete based on their behavior. And such support from the top ranked UFC fighter made Mokaev feel extremely thankful.
Sharing a screenshot of Aspinall’s supporting words, Mokaev stated, “Thank you brother @AspinallMMA. That’s why you’re champion inside and outside of octagon for me.”

Meanwhile, Muhammad Mokaev suffered one of the biggest shock releases in the UFC. Despite winning his bout against Manel Kape, the decision to cut ties with him perplexed the fans. However, Dana White did provide a reason for the same.
Dana White Details Reason For Cutting Ties With Muhammad Mokaev
Ahead of his bout with Manel Kape, Muhammad Mokaev had multiple run-ins with Manel Kape. After getting into an altercation with each other’s team inside the hotel lobby, Dana White seems to have been extremely irritated by the same. While the decision to release Mokaev was announced, White did provide a reason for the same.
“The matchmakers aren’t big fans of his [Muhammad Mokaev] for many different reasons… He’s not under contract anymore… I think the PFL’s going to get a great undefeated guy. Good luck to him,” said White.
