The situation around Alex Pereira’s championship rematch is getting more interesting each day. In a recent post from Pereira, it was assumed that the former champion was not okay with the UFC. Pereira even wrote that he would consider hanging up his gloves forever if the UFC did not listen to his requests. However, later it was revealed that Pereira’s account was hacked. And now Magomed Ankalaev is back with a surprising tale.
Ankalaev recently stated that the UFC wanted him to take on ‘Poatan’ at the International Fight Week. However, it is not clear what Pereira had to say about the proposition. The new light heavyweight champion clearly said he was ready to fight anybody.
“I was offered to Fight Alex international fight week if the man don’t want it let’s move on I’m ready for everyone. I dare you,” said Ankalaev.

Now, then, this will be an interesting situation to note. There has still been no official confirmation from the UFC. Most importantly, Pereira himself has not spoken a word about his rematch. Meanwhile, amidst all the drama, UFC veteran Daniel Cormier accused Pereira of lying.

In a recent episode of the ‘Good Guy/Bad Guy’ podcast, former UFC double champ Daniel Cormier had an interesting accusation. According to DC, Pereira is lying about his account getting hacked. Cormier further stated that Pereira might have posted the controversial tweet and later made up a story as damage control.
“Pereira is a liar. Pereira did not get hacked. Pereira might have tweeted something and then somebody called him like, ‘Yo, calm down, let’s chill.’ I don’t believe the hacked thing, bro. It was too specific,” Cormier stated.
