Magomed Ankalaev seems utterly frustrated with how things have been going lately. In a recent update, it was revealed that both Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka had turned down a fight with him. Unable to find an opponent, the Russian has now launched a full-fledged verbal attack on both former light heavyweight champions.
In a recent update, Ankalaev poked Pereira by saying that ‘Poatan’ does not want to fight the Russian anymore. Thus, he did not want to bother him anymore, as the champion stated he was not a bully. Next up, his focus shifted to Prochazka. Terming him a ‘fake ninja,’ Ankalaev asked the UFC to give him some new challenges.
“Alex Pereira don’t want the Ank anymore. Let’s leave him alone because I’m not a bully. Fake ninja [Jiri] said he have to go back to school because he cannot read,” said Anakalev.

Now, while Ankalaev’s frustration is understandable, he will probably have to wait a little more. And as far as his opponent is concerned, it will be Pereira in all probability. Moreover, provided the Brazilian is ready to avenge his loss in a rematch.
Alex Pereira Makes His Rematch Intentions Clear

Alex Pereira desperately wants to reclaim his title from Magomed Ankalaev. After a lacklustre performance, ‘Poatan’ lost his championship to Ankalaev. However, despite Pereira not being a 100%, the fans were not entirely convinced by the judges’ decision. Demanding an immediate rematch, Pereira too, looked quite egged up to run it down once again.

Back in March, ‘Poatan’ stated, “I can’t wait for this [rematch]. It’s going to be a very different fight… I feel that I have enough game to do whatever I want with this guy.”

However, after he turned down a fight offer, significant shadows of doubt have been cast over the potential rematch. Thus, with things looking a bit foggy, what happens next remains to be seen.
