Magomed Ankalaev seems to be enjoying his championship run to the fullest. After becoming the UFC light heavyweight champion, the Russian fighter has taken several shots at the now-former champion, Alex Pereira. However, in a new twist, Ankalaev took a brutal dig at none other than the UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones! Jones has been a dominant champion for years. Unfortunately, despite his long reign, ‘Bones’ has gotten into trouble for his alleged PED usage several times.
Targeting Jones’ past troubles, Ankalaev termed Jones a ‘steroid machine.’ The Russian fighter also mocked him for not accepting the fight against Tom Aspinall for so long.
“Jonny steroid machine was very disappointed I beat Alex. Please fight big Tom [Aspinall] stop running,” said Ankalaev.

Surely, Jones has been reluctant to fight Tom Aspinall for a long time. After returning from his injury, Jones chose Stipe Miocic as his opponent instead of Aspinall. Luckily, Dana White might be giving the fans their dream fight very soon.

Jon Jones stated earlier that his bout against Stipe Miocic might be his last fight. This meant the UFC fans would not witness the face-off with Tom Aspinall. However, in 2025, UFC head honcho Dana White opined that he will be making the fight for sure.
