Michael Chandler thinks being a lightweight in the UFC is a great time. After waiting for a significantly long time for Conor McGregor, Chandler finally decided to move on. While his comeback bout against Charles Oliviera did not go in his favor, the bout was heavily appreciated. With more exciting matchups coming his way, Chandler looks extremely excited to be a part of the division.
In a recent interview on the ‘Pro Wrestling and MMA Interviews With Jimmy V3,’ Chandler termed the current roster as the ‘greatest.’ He also stated that with so many talented athletes in the lightweight division, it is fun to be with them.
Chandler stated, “It’s just so fun to be part of this roster of lightweights. I’m so fortunate and blessed to be part of probably the greatest lightweight roster we have had in the history of the UFC.”

Well, ‘Iron’ is not wrong. With Islam Makhachev being the champion, there are a host of title contenders in the division. The likes of Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, and Arman Tsarukyan all have the potential to challenge Makhachev. Add to that the inclusion of Ilia Topuria into the mix! Undoubtedly, the division looks stacked!
Now, amidst all these, Chandler has a tough job on his hands, and he seems well prepared for it.
