Ilia Topuria has already been put on notice for his next lightweight bout. After the departure of Islam Makhachev, the lightweight crown now has Topuria. And while he has just finished off a legend in Charles Oliveira, the stacked division is not taking it easy. Moments after ‘El Matador’ was crowned the champion, he received a threat from Paddy Pimblett. And now, ‘The Baddy’ has further detailed how he would like to punish the champion.
Speaking on ‘ESPN MMA,’ Pimblett shared how he wants their fight to pan out. Pimblett opined that he was confident that he would take Topuria down. However, ‘The Baddy’ did not want the fight to end early. Rather, he wanted to elbow the ‘El Matador’ 700 times and ‘disfigure’ him. Surely, this speaks volumes about how much Pimblett hates the current lightweight champion.
“I hate him. I wouldn’t even want to finish him fast. I want to finish him with a minute left in the fight after I’ve elbowed him 700 times. I want to disfigure him,” said Pimblett.

The English fighter also mentioned earlier that a fight would not require hyping up. That’s because the level of hatred between the two is already relatively high. Unfortunately, despite all the heated buildup, Dana White is not ready to make the fight happen.
