Paddy Pimblett made a thumping statement with his win at UFC 304. While he was heavily trolled for his big talks, it turned out that ‘Baddy’ is actually quite the man of his word. Going up against King Green, very few chose to give Pimblett a chance. However, when the bout got underway, the 29-year-old ran away with the game. After thoroughly dominating Green, Pimblett submitted him in the very first round, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with.
Now that he has the fans’ attention, Pimblett will prepare himself for an even tougher opponent. In a recent announcement on his YouTube channel, Pimblett dropped some major news.
“I’m coming for that belt so I’m looking for higher-ranked fighters. I’m sure you’ll see a fight announcement soon enough… I’ve said yeah, the opponent said yeah, just need to get stuff signed. So you’s know the score everyone… And I’ll see you at the top!” said the 29-year-old.
Now, such a statement quickly went viral as the phrase, “see you at the top” is a common dialogue used by Michael Chandler. Thus, despite no further confirmation, rumors started to go wild about Pimblett potentially facing Michael Chandler. However, as far as recent updates are concerned, Chandler might not be eager to fight the ‘Baddy.’
Michael Chandler Still Wants Conor McGregor Match Up
Michael Chandler has waited to face Conor McGregor for a year. After teasing his return several times, McGregor failed to show up for the fight. Thus, with numerous failed attempts to make the match a reality, Chandler seemed to have lost interest. ‘Iron’ was awarded a match against Charles Oliveira instead.

However, once that bout was over, Chandler looked fixated once again for the big money fight. “Ring, cage, mat, canvas whatever you want to call it. All you have to do is step up @TheNotoriousMMA” replied Chandler to one of McGregor’s posts. However, fans immediately started to lash out at ‘Iron’ asking him to move on from the fight.
