Paddy Pimblett has been quite a revelation recently. With his big talks outside of the octagon, very few people believed in him. However, with some impressive victories, Pimblett has now gotten the attention of the UFC realm. Flying high on confidence, ‘The Baddy’ is searching for his next opponent. And as per his latest hint, it might be Ilia Topuria.
Paddy Pimblett stated in a recent video that a fight with Topuria is an exciting prospect. He pointed out that if Topuria becomes the champion and calls out Pimblett, Dana White and co. will not hesitate to confirm it. Why? According to Pimblett, he and Topuria can sell the fight well, resulting in more revenue for the UFC. Pimblett also pointed out that he will not try to box Topuria. Instead, ‘The Baddy’ would want to capitalize on his weakness.
“If Ilia wins and says he wants to fight me, the UFC will make that fight because they know it’s a money fight… I know I’d beat him… I know how to beat him. No one goes for his weaknesses, everyone just tries to have a boxing match with him,“ said Pimblett.

Surely, these words from Pimblett cannot be underestimated. After all, in his last fight, Pimblett dominated the likes of Michael Chandler. Meanwhile, if not Ilia Topuria, Pimblett wants to face off against Justin Gaethje.

Pimblett is keeping a clear mind about his opponents. While a possible fight against Arman Tsarukyan was heavily teased, Pimblett seems to have no interest in fighting him. In a recent interaction with ‘BBC Sport,’ Pimblett rejected the idea of fighting Tsarukyan.

“I’m hoping to fight in Abu Dhabi in October… I’d love to fight [Ilia] anyway but he’s booked, so I think it’s more than likely Justin Gaethje. No one [cares] about Arman Tsarukyan and people actually want to watch Gaethje fight. People know it’ll be an exciting fight, me versus Gaethje,” said Pimblett.
