There’s no doubt Ronda Rousey is one of the most prominent female athletes in the world. Rousey has consistently reached the top wherever she’s gone, from winning an Olympic medal to dominating in the UFC and making waves in WWE. While athletes like Serena Williams and Caitlin Clark have made massive impacts in their sports, few can match Rousey’s all-around achievements.
In a real-world fight, most average people wouldn’t stand a chance against her. Yet, despite all her skills and toughness, Rousey doesn’t believe even 100 versions of herself could beat a gorilla. While speaking on a podcast, Ronda Rousey was asked to weigh in on a viral debate about whether 100 men could defeat a gorilla. She didn’t hold back. Rousey made it clear she believes people are underestimating just how powerful and dangerous a gorilla is.
“I think people are underestimating how f*cking gnarly a gorilla is. Have you seen a gorilla? No chance in hell,” she said. Though she admitted that a group of 100 might be able to overwhelm the animal with pure numbers, she also pointed out that in any drawn-out scenario, the humans wouldn’t stand a chance.
She was doubtful when asked if 100 versions of herself could defeat a gorilla. She acknowledged a gorilla’s sheer strength and toughness, suggesting that even with numbers on their side, the challenge would be overwhelming.
Kayla Harrison Declares Her Olympic Success Sets Her Apart From Ronda Rousey

Harrison has made it clear that she sees her achievements as distinct from Rousey’s. Highlighting her two Olympic gold medals in judo, Harrison sets herself apart from ‘Rowdy’, who won a bronze in 2008. She confidently rejects any direct comparison, emphasizing that her career path and successes in both judo and MMA are unique and, in her view, even greater than Rousey’s accomplishments.
