A viral clip claiming to show a dark web fight from the Russian MMA scene has folks chirping.
The video, shared via X by an account going by the handle @AddictiveMedia_, features a fight they say is happening between a drug dealer and an addict, with the caption suggesting that there’s actually a promotion pitting dealers and addicts against each other when money is owed.
Check it out below:
The clip has garnered views in the hundreds of thousands, as well as plenty of comments.
“fckn genius where’s the PPV,” a user wrote.

As Fun As This Looks, There’s No Evidence Of Any Russian MMA Promotion Pitting Dealers Against Addicts

Unfortunately, while the video has attracted plenty of interest, there’s no real evidence of this being a sanctioned event or even an unsanctioned one. Sure, the video is very real and the vibe is pretty intense, with appropriate ring lights and commentary, but that’s because it’s likely an Olimpbet event. Their branding is all around the octagon.
Olimpbet Fighting is a legitimate combat sports brand, which is backed by sports betting company Olimpbet. The bookmakers operate in Russia and Central Asia.
The promotion puts on MMA, boxing, wrestling, and bare-knuckle fighting events via live stream, and fighters from the Russian bare-knuckle league TOP DOG FC feature regularly. They even host ice rink fights in which combatabts on skates throw punches while trying to stay on their feet.
So, while the dim lighting and unique fighter dress code do give off an underground feel, the video shown above has nothing to do with a Russian MMA competition where drug dealers fight addicts, as fun as it would be for some people.
