The heated rivalry between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev came to a stop at UFC 313. Going up against each other, the two light heavyweight stalwarts put up a decent show. And with Anakalaev succeeding in his bid to become the new champion, it now looks like the rivalry is done. Well, not actually. For one, their bout was a pretty much lacklustre affair. Moreover the judges’ decision of announcing the Russian as the champion sent ripples through the UFC realm. Now, to add more spice to the feud, Magomed Ankalaev’s coach has come up with some serious allegations.
Magomed Ankalaev’s coach could be heard saying in a recently uploaded video that Pereira used dirty tactics! He insisted that ‘Poatan’ might have greased himself and also involved the Brazilian’s coach, Glover Teixeira into the mix.
“It seemed to me that Pereira was greased with something… I think [Glover] Teixeira is experienced in these matters,” said Ankalaev’s coach.
