One of the biggest concerns in the MMA world right now is the health of former UFC fighter Ben Askren. A few days ago, his wife Amy revealed that he was fighting for his life and in critical condition. Recently, Daniel Cormier gave an update saying Askren was back home from the hospital, but it turned out that wasn’t true. DC later shared a new update with the bad news about Askren’s ongoing health struggles.
Talking on ‘Good Guy/ Bad Guy,’ Askren’s close friend, Cormier, shared that the former UFC star has been facing serious physical challenges after dealing with back problems two weeks ago. His condition worsened due to an infection that spread throughout his body.
As per DC, initially hospitalized in Las Vegas, ‘Funky’ was recently airlifted back to Wisconsin for further care. He is still in the hospital, focusing on recovery. Cormier urges everyone to keep Askren and his family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
He said, “Ben had an infection that ultimately overtook his body. He was hospitalized in Vegas, and now he’s been airlifted back to Wisconsin. He’s still in a hospital, trying to recover. We are praying every day for Ben Askren, his recovery, and his family.”

Caio Borralho Gets Trashed After Sharing Wrong Information On Ben Askren

Brazilian fighter Borralho recently faced backlash after he mistakenly shared an “R.I.P.” message for Ben Askren on X, thinking the MMA veteran had died. He removed the post shortly after. Borralho, a Portuguese speaker, misunderstood a black-and-white tribute from Maycee Barber, interpreting it as confirmation of Askren’s death instead of a supportive message during Askren’s ongoing battle with pneumonia.

Meanwhile, Amy addressed the false death rumors, confirming they are untrue and asking people not to spread misinformation. She emphasized that Ben is still fighting and needs support, not speculation. As the MMA community rallies behind him, everyone hopes he overcomes this critical battle with the same strength and determination he showed throughout his fighting career.
