Charles Oliveira has been longing to get his hands on the lightweight gold again. After losing his title, the Brazilian has been in a constant quest to get his title back. Facing off against Arman Tsarukyan, Oliveira faltered despite putting up a show. However, now that the opportunity is knocking at the door, Oliveira will fancy his chances. And with a promise made to his newborn son, the stakes are much higher for ‘Du Bronx’ this time.
In a recent statement released by Oliveira’s wife, she revealed about a promise. She stated that Oliveira has given his word to his 7-month-old son about winning the title. This was a special moment as the Brazilian had previously won a title for his daughter, Thayla.
“It’s a promise he made to Dominick [Oliveira’s son] because he’s already won a belt for Thayla [Oliveira’s daughter], and now he’ll win another for Dominick,” said Oliveira’s wife.
