Robert Whittaker and Yair Rodriguez are getting involved in some hilarious back-and-forth. After Alexander Volkanovski’s win against Diego Lopes, rumors of his next opponent are doing the rounds. One name that has been coming up is Rodriguez. However, with Rodriguez showing significant interest in the fight, Robert Whittaker had his own opinion. And that, seemingly, did not sit well with Rodriguez.
Whittaker recently stated that the fight between Rodriguez and Volkanovski will not generate much interest. Replying to ‘The Reaper,’ Rodriguez slammed him via an Instagram post by ‘MMA UNCENSORED.’
“I didn’t ask for your opinion “mate” focus on your sh*t so you don’t get your teeth broken again ❤️“
Reacting to the same, Whittaker laughed off the whole incident. The UFC middleweight superstar pointed out that it was a casual remark from his side and Rodriguez needs to take it easy.
“I don’t know, he’s an emotional guy. I’ve backed him in a lot of his fights, and I said only good things. I didn’t even say anything negative to him. He’s gotta chill out a little bit, like it was just couch talk,” said Whittaker on ‘Main Event TV.’
