Danica Patrick took a moment this week to share a special memory with her sister, Brooke, as the two marked the anniversary of their run in the Boston Marathon.
With the 2025 race taking place just yesterday, the former racing star reposted a photo to her Instagram story that Brooke originally shared. The picture, snapped shortly after they crossed the finish line, captures both the exhaustion and joy of completing one of the world’s most iconic races.
“Amazing memory with you sis,” Patrick wrote alongside the throwback image, giving fans a rare peek into her life off the track. The sisters, known for their close bond, ran the race together in a show of both athletic grit and sisterly support. Though Patrick’s days behind the wheel are long behind her, moments like these show that her drive hasn’t slowed down.
Sisters, Strength, And Shared Passions
Patrick has built much of her post-racing life around wellness and connection. She and Brooke share a deep commitment to health and fitness, a passion that led Danica to release her 2017 book Pretty Intense: The 90-Day Mind, Body and Food Plan That Will Absolutely Change Your Life. Two years later, she launched a podcast of the same name, to share her journey and inspire others to break through fitness plateaus.
“My Pretty Intense program was born from a place of being stuck in a predictable routine with food and exercise,” Patrick said in a 2019 interview with 24 Hour Fitness. “I knew I needed to shake things up, and this is the plan that really worked for me.”

The Boston Marathon experience is just one chapter in the sisters’ story. Brooke, who shares Danica’s love of fitness and family, also introduced her to a different kind of tradition last year. The two attended AmFest, a conservative political event, together and spoke about how much they value trust, accountability, and family ties.
“I love my parents and my sister is my best friend,” Patrick wrote on Instagram after their trip. “She was also the one that proposed the idea of going to this event last year. I think we started a tradition.”
Whether tackling a marathon or attending a political gathering, Danica and Brooke continue to show how strong family ties and shared values shape their lives. With every photo or post, they remind followers that strength comes in many forms and often runs in the family.
