Danica Patrick’s political views have sparked plenty of discussion in recent months, but now, her sister is making waves, too.
Brooke Selman, the younger sister of the former NASCAR and IndyCar driver, turned heads with a social media post featuring her in a “Make America Great Again” hat. The image, shared as part of a photoshoot with Patrick, quickly ignited debate online.
Selman, who keeps a low profile with a private Instagram account, isn’t one to shy away from her views. She and Patrick have attended multiple conservative events together, including AmericaFest (AmFest) in Phoenix, which played an important role in Patrick’s political awakening. Patrick herself has admitted she was never politically active until recently, describing the shift as a “tidal wave of change.”
A Family Affair In Politics

For Patrick, this newfound political engagement is deeply personal. She credits her sister for encouraging her to attend AmFest, ultimately leading her to publicly embrace her conservative stance. “I love my parents, and my sister is my best friend,” Patrick said. “She was the one that proposed the idea of going to this event last year… I think we started a tradition.”

The duo has since become familiar faces at right-leaning conferences, with their social media presence reflecting their commitment. Patrick recalled how a simple post of her and Selman captioned “I love this country” unexpectedly became a flashpoint for controversy. “That was a divisive comment to so many, which was ridiculous,” she noted.

While Selman may not be as publicly outspoken as her sister, her symbolic support through photos and event appearances speaks volumes. In a political climate where even a hat sparks debate, she clearly supports the movement alongside her sister.
