Ty Dillon is used to smoking other drivers on the track, but unfortunately, one of God’s creatures got smoked by him.
Dillon hit a squirrel during Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway. After Stage 2 of the FireKeepers Casino 400, Dillon said he “murdered a squirrel” when he arrived at his pit box.
“I think I just murdered a squirrel getting into my pit box,” Ty Dillon said, per Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic.
“Bad timing, little buddy.”
Unfortunately…

That is just awful timing.
This year marks Ty Dillon’s return to the NASCAR Cup Series after spending a year in the Craftsman Truck Series with Rackley W.A.R. in 2024.

Things went terribly for Dillon after he was dropped from Spire Motorsports’ Cup program in 2023 due to underwhelming performance.
His return has not produced any good results, as he hasn’t scored a single top 10 yet. His best finish was P12 at Texas in May.
We can only hope that Dillon’s accident involving a squirrel doesn’t give him bad luck for the rest of the season.
Ty Dillon Doesn’t Have A Great Day At Michigan International Speedway

Ty Dillon reported running over a squirrel during the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
That would pretty much sum up his day.
Dillon started the 200-lap Michigan race in 18th place ahead of his Kaulig Racing teammate, AJ Allmendinger. He concluded stage one in 23rd place before scoring two points for finishing ninth at the end of the second stage.
After the checkered flag was waved, Dillon finished 24th and completed all 200 laps.
Dillon has competed in 249 Cup Series races and earned seven top-10 finishes during that span. He started competing in the Cup Series full-time in 2017, driving the No. 13 Chevrolet for Germain Racing.
