The 2025 NBA All-Star starters are locked in, with the Eastern Conference featuring Jalen Brunson and Donovan Mitchell as the starting guards from the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers. Meanwhile, the frontcourt includes Karl-Anthony Towns of the Knicks, Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum, and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.
In the Western Conference, Stephen Curry and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will start as guards for the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder. Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets complete the frontcourt.

Now that the starters are set, all eyes turn to the reserves. Coaches will pick 14 players, seven from each conference, to fill out the rosters. Each conference will have two backcourt players, three frontcourt players, and two wild cards. With the new mini-tournament format in play, these reserve players will definitely have a significant role in how things unfold.
Eastern Conference Reserves
Backcourt: LaMelo Ball (Charlotte Hornets), Damian Lillard (Milwaukee Bucks)
LaMelo Ball is making a strong push for his second All-Star selection, putting up 24.9 points, 8.6 assists, and 6.1 rebounds a game. He’s shooting 38.5% from three, and despite the Hornets dealing with injuries, LaMelo’s been their main guy on offense, regularly dropping big numbers.
Damian Lillard remains one of the league’s top guards, averaging 25.5 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds for the Milwaukee Bucks. Moreover, he’s been a consistent scorer alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, keeping the Bucks firmly in the top four of the East. With his clutch performances and 38.3% shooting from deep, Lillard’s a lock for an All-Star spot.

He’s averaging 18.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game while improving his three-point shooting to 40.5%.
