Following the frustrating 112-105 loss to the Thunder after a disappointing fourth quarter from their supporting cast, the Denver Nuggets lost the golden opportunity to secure their semifinal journey. Except Nikola Jokic’s four made field goals, the rest of the roster combined to make just 1 for 15 shooting in the final period. The collapse swung the momentum of Denver’s postseason, as they are now trailing 3-2 in the series and facing a possible elimination. This indicates a clear contrast from their first-round matchup against the Clippers: they secured a 3-2 series lead into game six and closed it out on the road.
In this environment of dissatisfaction, Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon did not show any interest in talking about his missed shots. Instead, he pointed out a report from ESPN about an alleged locker room exchange with Russell Westbrook after game 2 of the previous series.
He stated, “Earlier, I caught wind of an article that came out about Russell Westbrook. And in our locker room after game two, which was a completely arbitrary article, pointless, and unnecessary by whoever put it out. Russ is one of the most talented basketball players who has ever played the game of basketball.”
Asked Aaron Gordon about the game and he just went OFF on the @espn article that cast Russell Westbrook as a bad teammate.

Showing his eternal brotherhood towards Westbrook, he added, “Quite frankly, he’s been great for us all year long. We’re brothers. We spend more time with our team than we do with our own family.” Gordon made it clear the team remains united and added further, “He’s gonna continue to be great for us, and he’s gonna make a huge impact. And he’s gonna help us win these next two games.”
