In Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder pulled off a stunning fourth-quarter comeback against the Indiana Pacers, evening the series at 2-2. While Shai Gilgeous-Alexander grabbed most of the spotlight this postseason, veteran guard Alex Caruso made a massive impact off the bench.
Caruso’s role may not be glamorous, but his leadership and grit have made a difference for this young Thunder squad. However, when recently asked about the hype surrounding the Finals and whether he’s able to enjoy how entertaining the series has been, Caruso didn’t hold back. He took the opportunity to throw a subtle jab.
“I mean, good for y’all. Good for me would be we’d be getting ready for a parade right now,” Caruso said.

Caruso’s comments reflect the Thunder’s mentality all season long. They finished the regular season with a franchise-best 64 wins and secured the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
But as history has shown, dominating the regular season doesn’t guarantee playoff success. Oklahoma City knows that the postseason is where reputations are made and legacies are cemented. In their eyes, the only thing that matters is the parade at the end.

After the Thunder’s thrilling Game 4 comeback win over the Pacers in the NBA Finals, all eyes were on Alex Caruso for his sensational performance. The performance earned high praise from Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
“He’s a winner. To put it all into one word. He does whatever it takes any given night… I’ve said it before, but he has a championship ring for a reason,” Shai said.
Caruso’s Game 4 performance was nothing short of extraordinary. He dropped 20 points on a red-hot 7-of-9 shooting from the field, added three rebounds and one assist. With this performance, Caruso etched his name into the NBA history books. He became the first player ever to record multiple 20-point games in an NBA Finals after not scoring 20 points in any regular season game.
