The Oklahoma City Thunder delivered an exceptional performance during the 2024-25 season, asserting their dominance across the league. However, their victory celebration was notably subdued, with numerous players appearing uncertain about how to properly celebrate with champagne, an area where Alex Caruso notably excelled.
Following the Thunder’s resounding victory, footage of their locker room celebration quickly spread across social media platforms. In the video, Caruso stepped in to teach the team how to pop champagne properly. In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, he expressed his commitment to delivering a more exciting champagne shower, describing the Thunder’s locker room celebration as “lame.”
“Alex Caruso assured TMZ Sports this week ‘the next time’ his Thunder squad is in position for some champagne showers, it won’t have another letdown. The OKC guard acknowledged to us on Thursday, “it was not a great showing” — but he was sure it won’t happen again. ‘We’ll be better the next time around,’ he told us with a smile. ‘Whenever that is,” Via TMZ Sports.

The Thunder showcased their dominance during the 2024-25 NBA season, ultimately winning the championship. After securing the title, Alex Caruso made a critical request to the NBA. In a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, he articulated his wish for the Thunder to be acknowledged appropriately by the league moving forward.
“Until you win, they don’t really care about you. They’re not going to put you on TV. They’re not going to talk about you. But once you win, you can’t ignore it. From that aspect, we better play on Christmas next year. I would love to play on Christmas morning and have the rest of the day to watch football. That would be awesome,” Caruso said.
Caruso argues that the Thunder deserve the chance to demonstrate their talents in high-profile events like games on Christmas Day.
