The Eastern Conference Semifinals couldn’t have started better for the Boston Celtics as they blew the doors open and took a 1-0 lead against the Milwaukee Bucks.
That would be their final win of the series as they would get swept the rest of the way as Kyrie Irving seemed to get worse and worse each game.
Kyrie boldly stated that the Celtics would be fine in the playoffs “because I’m here.” He also referred to himself as a basketball genius.
He may feel that way about himself, but at least one person on the team does not feel the same way.
“Everyone respects his talent,” one Celtics player told me earlier this season, “but he’s hard to play with. It’s all about him.”
The Celtics have been dealing with this pretty much all season. The inconsistent play finally caught up with them and they got exposed by the Bucks.
The only question now is what Kyrie is going to do in the offseason. Does he comeback or take his talents elsewhere, like the Lakers or the Knicks….
