The Giannis Antetokounmpo situation is getting quite complicated. While trade rumors have been swirling, the Bucks reportedly attempted to keep the ‘Greek Freak’ with them. In one of the biggest trades till now, they acquired the services of Myles Turner. Offering him a whopping four-year, $107 million contract, the Bucks tried to fill the void left by Brook Lopez. Unfortunately, despite the trade, NBA insider Brian Windhorst thinks that the Bucks have not done enough.
In a recent interaction, Windhorst shed light on the matter. He pointed out that the Bucks going for Turner is surely a positive move. However, that might not be enough reason to make Antetokounmpo stay in Milwaukee, especially considering that Damian Lillard was waived in the process.
“My concern for [the Bucks’] forthcoming pitch to Giannis to wanna be there long term is they didn’t move the needle enough,” said Windhorst.

Now, Antetokounmpo has shown significant interest in staying with the Bucks. He even showed his interest in the team by getting involved in a major decision once. With a possible Khris Middleton-Jimmy Butler swap on offer, Antetokounmpo asked his team not to go forward with it. Meanwhile, the ‘Greek Freak’ is reportedly monitoring the Bucks’ activities closely.

Antetokounmpo and the Bucks have been inseparable for the past 12 seasons. However, despite the commitment, Antetokounmpo is looking for options outside Milwaukee. Before making any decisions, he keeps a close eye on what exactly the Bucks are doing in the offseason market.
