The New York Knicks are currently lagging behind the Los Angeles Lakers with a marginal nine-point difference in the fourth quarter. While there are still four minutes left to the final whistle, NY fans got a surprise visit. Comedian Amy Schumer graced the court during the timeout and threw some easy dance moves with the city dancers.
Although the Knicks fans didn’t have much to do about the Lakers flying past them, Schumer got the heat. The social media fans directed their stark criticism against the NBA and started ranting about declining ratings. Soon after the video was posted from the league’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, fans went into a frenzy over the cameo.

It was unobvious for the comedian to be at the center of a controversy. Despite being a long-time Knicks fan, Amy Schumer got blasted by online fans for her dance. Irrespective of the criticism, the Knicks are on their toes to outlast the Lakers. But it did not seem an easy walk in the park for them as LA’s point rally was going unstoppable in the final quarter of the game.
The Knicks also got an unfortunate blow mid-game. OG Anunoby was ruled out for the rest of Saturday night’s game due to a sprained right foot. The injury happened early in the third quarter and seemed to be non-contact. After receiving a pass from Karl-Anthony Towns, Anunoby went up for a three-point shot but immediately fell to the floor in pain. He managed to walk back to the locker room, but it was clear he was limping considerably.
